Bio
Kim has been playing the piano since she was five years old. She studied the piano and performed in numerous recitals and concerts
throughout grade school and high school. In college, Kim majored in music, where her major instrument of study was the piano. She
graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education and has studied privately with Jimmie Amadie (of Woody Herman
Band fame).She also has a Masters of Education Degree and a second teaching certification in elementary education. She has also
taken courses in Music Therapy—the study of how music affects health and well-being. She has taught music and directed many
choral groups in the public school system for many years. Her true passion, though, is playing the piano, and she has had extensive
experience playing in many area establishments and for many private events.
